Windhoist acquires Forsyth of Denny

Irish International wind turbine and lifting specialist group Windhoist/McNally has acquired Scottish crane and transport company Forsyth of Denny.

Forsyth was established by the late Robert Forsyth in 1955, and operates from a base in Denny to the south of Stirling in central Scotland. It provides crane rental and transport services throughout Scotland. Details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Windhoist's Conor McManus, who will lead Forsyth of Denny said: “This acquisition builds on Windhoist’s long established crane and hire heritage dating back to the mid-1950’s. Both businesses are a perfect match and I look forward to working with the existing management and staff at Forsyth of Denny. It will be business as usual.”

Forsyth has a fleet of All Terrain cranes, topped by a 220 tonne Tadano ATF220-G.

This is no surprise as F&D were looking for a quick sale and like this article says it is a perfect fit.
