Liebherr’s Maritime division has opened a new sales and service centre in Hamburg, northern Germany.

Located in the Kuhwerder Harbour, the new facility is located on an 11 acre site and features 2,160 square metres of workshops, 1,080 square metres of warehousing, and a four storey office building with 3,750 square metres of space for both offices and meeting rooms along with 10,000 square metres of hard standing yard space. It is accessible from the highway, rail, public transport and has three waterfront quays.

Liebherr’s Jörg Schmidt said: “We are investing in a location which offers long term potential for growth in several directions. Due to the logistical requirements, the harbour in Hamburg is our central hub for rental and buy back machines, as well as for all kinds of repairs for the European region.”
