A tree care worker died after falling from a work platform in Loupiac, South West France last month.
The man, 55, was working from what looks like a truck mounted lift - although a local report claimed it was a telehandler - at a height of around 12 metres on 12th September. He had removed all the branches and had cut the top section of the tree which landed on the basket, bouncing him out of the platform. We assume therefore that he was not wearing a harness with lanyard attached.
The man passed away just a few minutes after the emergency services arrived and was declared dead at the scene.
