Italian spider lift manufacturer Palazzani has appointed Spimerica as its distributor for the USA
Based in Miami, Florida, Spimerica was set up last October by Ben Taft, former vice president of sales at Teupen North America. Taft had previously been with Teupen since 2016, initially as key account manager, and then national sales manager, before being appointed vice president in 2018. He joined Teupen from United Rentals, where he had worked since 1998 initially as a sales representative and then branch manager.
Spimerica has taken delivery of a 17 metre TZX 550 (the US counterpart of the TZX 170) and 19 metre TZX 620 (TZX 190) tracked spider lift. The TZX 550 has a maximum outreach of 7.8 metres while the TZX 620 offers up to 8.5 metres outreach. Both units have a unrestricted platform capacity of 200kg and will be featured on the company’s stand at the ARA show next month.
Offering both spider cranes and spider platforms, the company has also ordered a 25 metre bi-energy TSJ 82 (TSJ 25) and a 32 metre hybrid XTJ 105 (XTJ 32) tracked spider lift.
Taft said: “Spimerica chose Palazzani as their premier manufacturer because of the rich history Palazzani offers. With over 80 years of manufacturing experience, expert engineering that creates the highest quality spider lifts in the world, a commitment to safety that is unmatched and the most diverse line-up in the industry our choice was easy! We are proud to be affiliated with a partner such as Palazzani and the solutions we create separate us from our competition allowing our customers to get more work done with the safest machines available.”
