Norwegian crane rental company Nordic Crane has taken delivery of the first 150 tonne CKE1350G-2 crawler crane equipped with a luffing jib in Europe.
The CKE1350G-2 has a maximum boom length of 76.2 metres and a maximum system length of 98.1 metres when configured with a 44.8 metre boom and a 53.3 metres of luffing jib. The crane can lift its maximum capacity at a 4.4 metres radius, while it can handle up to 36 tonnes at a radius of 12 metres when fitted with the luffing jib.
The crane went straight out on its first job, delivered on a step deck/drop trailer and six flatbed trailers. Configured with 32 metres of main boom and a 32 metre luffing jib, the CKE1350G-2 was used to lift pre-cast concrete and steel at the site of a new Oslo distribution centre for DSV, Denmark’s largest transport and logistics provider.
Nordic Crane general manager, Trond Strøm, said: “The CKE1350G in -2’s excellent manoeuvrability and versatile luffing jib/main boom combination have proved to be the right choice for this job. We have been impressed with the after sales service from the Kobelco team and look forward to using our new CKE1350G-2 on the next job and strengthening our relationship with Kobelco further.”
Part of Crane Norway Group, Nordic Crane Oslo offers crane and transportation services throughout Norway from its location just outside of Olso. The CKE1350G is the first Kobelco crawler in the company’s fleet.
