Terex has appointed construction equipment sales company RET Utilaje as distributor for Rough Terrain cranes in Romania.
Based in Bucharest, RET will be responsible for the sale of Terex Rough Terrain cranes along with service and after sales support for new and existing units in Romania. As part of the agreement RET Utilaje has taken delivery of a 35 tonne RT35 and a 45 tonne RT1045 Rough Terrain crane. The company distributed Terex backhoe loaders - now Mecalac - since 2001 and recently added Terex Trucks and Terex Finley crushing and screening products.
RET general manager, Viorel Popescu, said: “Rough Terrain cranes have been a growing market in Romania in the past five years and we welcome the opportunity to have a significant market share. This strategic partnership with Terex will further develop an impressive expertise on the Terex and lifting equipment. Our cooperation with Terex, which started 20 years ago and continues to this day with Terex Finlay and Terex cranes, will allow us to provide our customer base with even more options and solutions for their most demanding job sites.”
Terex RT sales manager Stephan Wijkmans added: “I am convinced that RET, with its many years of experience and great knowledge on the local market, will be a successful partner for Terex Rough Terrain crane business. Established in 1994, RET supplies a wide range of construction equipment from a number of brands which include Magni, GGR, Atlas, Hidrokon, Hidrokon and Mecalac from its locations in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Bacău and Brălia.
