German crane and access rental company Kurth Autokranes has taken delivery of a 50 tonne Liebherr LTC 1050 city type All Terrain crane.
Replacing a 45 tonne LTC 1045-3.1, the three axle LTM 1050-3.1 features a five section 36 metre main boom plus a 7.5 to 13 metre bi-fold swingaway jib. Features include a 7.8 metre elevating cab and the company’s new RemoteDrive system which allows the operator to control the crane chassis via remote control.
Kurth Autokrane managing director, Marcel Kurth, said: “We have had an LTC 1045-3.1 in our fleet since 2013 and we have always been satisfied with the crane. But the time had come to replace it. Our positive experiences with the crane meant that one thing was clear – we would be buying another compact crane from Liebherr. The crane has an extremely compact design and can work in very constricted spaces. VarioBase and the erection jib are massive plus points.”
Based in Blankenheim, Western Germany, Kurth Autokrane runs a fleet of All Terrain and loader cranes ranging from 40 to 500 tonnes, as well as a number of access platforms, telehandlers and forklifts. It also offers a transportation and towing service.
