Niftylift USA has moved into its new premises in Greer, South Carolina and is now fully operational
The company - Niftylift Inc - acquired the freehold of the five acre site which includes a 2,800 square metre warehouse, and 465 square metres of offices. The facility is home to 20 Niftylift employees and its North American spare parts and service centre.
Niftylift managing director John Keely said: “We have worked hard over the last 25 years to provide our US and Canadian customers with the best products and most comprehensive customer service we can and our investment in Greer will help us to ensure that both remain ‘world-class’. In the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, we all face new economic challenges and Niftylift is proud to be able to invest in the US economy.”
Niftylift USA general manager Ed Duvall and Jon Hedlund, vice president of sales and operations, added: “We are so very proud of the strides and accomplishments we have made. Our new facility is the result of decades of hard work, all the while remembering that it is our customers who have made us as successful as we are. As we continue to grow, we will be playing an active role in the success of our local community and are committed to building on the customer trust we have earned as we look forward to the next 25 years and beyond.”
Niftylift started selling its products in the US in 1995 when it opened an office in Baltimore, Maryland, which was headed by Iain Swanston. It made its first appearance at the ARA show that spring and has gone from strength to strength selling its full range or trailer lifts, SD boom lifts and regular HR self-propelled boom lifts.
It opened its first facility in Greer in 2005, and today the North America represents a major part of the manufacturer’s annual sales.
