UK rental company Independent Hire has taken delivery of four 2,600kg/5.79 metre Snorkel SR626 compact telehandlers.
The SR626 can handle 2,000kg at its maximum height of 5.79 metres and 900kg at its maximum forward reach of 3.2 metres. Powered by a Yanmar Stage V diesel, it has an overall width of 1.89 metres, a stowed height of 1.93 metres and a length of 4.19 metres to the front carriage. The machine has an overall weight of 4,700kg.
Managing director Scott Wilkins said: “Compact rough terrain telehandlers are very popular hire units, which often stay on a jobsite from start to finish thanks to their reduced dimensions. We were impressed with the specifications and build quality of the Snorkel telehandlers, as well as knowing that we have great back-up when needed from the Snorkel UK team, so we decided to add four units to help meet increasing customer demand for this product type.”
Based in Milton Keynes, with additional locations in Chelmsford and Coventry, Independent Hire provides telehandlers, powered access and a wide range of general construction equipment and tools throughout the midlands and the south east of the UK.
