Irish rental company Drogheda Hire & Sales has taken delivery of the first 13ft Sinoboom 1330SE micro scissors to arrive in the Republic of Ireland.
The 1330SE has a working height of 5.8 metres with a 240kg platform capacity and a 1.34 metre long deck which can be extended a further 600mm for additional space and outreach. The direct electric DC motors are powered by two 12 volt maintenance free AGM batteries. The units are coated with an electrophoretic paint technology, which is said to be considerably more durable.
General manager Danny Dunne took delivery of the first five machines from Sinoboom’s UK & Ireland regional manager Julie Houston Smyth. At the handover he said: “We were impressed by the versatility and quality of this product following our trial process and are pleased to expand our scissors range with this micro model."
Houston Smyth added: “We are delighted to work with Drogheda Hire on its first investment in Sinoboom products and look forward to building this relationship further in the future.”
Based in the Republic of Ireland, Drogheda Hire & Sales is a division of AER Rents - the O’Flaherty Holdings group - which also owns UK based Mr Plant Hire and Mainline Hire group, which it acquired at the end of last year - see: AER acquires Mainline. The new units were shipped from Sinoboom’s European operation in Rotterdam.
