UK based sales and rental company Crowland Cranes has taken delivery of another 60 tonne Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 and ordered what will be the first 150 tonne LTM 1150-5.3 to arrive in the UK.
The three axle LTM 1060-3.1 All Terrain features a five section 48 metre main boom topped by 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold lattice swingaway extension to offer a maximum tip height of 67.5 metres. It features a Stage V engine as well as Liebherr’s Variobase variable outrigger set up and remote control system. It will be based at the company’s Bury St Edmunds depot and was also ordered with Liebherr’s engine shutdown system, which includes over speed protection, for operation in oil, gas and petrochemical applications.
Managing director Peter Issitt said: “The LTM1060-3-1 continues to be the ‘benchmark’ 60 tonne machine, with both operator and client enjoying the benefits this model offers. The VarioBase outrigger monitoring system is now being specifically requested by customers, which is increasing our utilisation of the Liebherr products within our fleet.”
The new LTM 1150-5.3 features the single engine concept, a longer boom and can travel in the UK with 29 tonnes of counterweight, full extension and hook blocks. Delivery is expected later this year.
